The i3+ EVO can be prevented from overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However it must be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's inner dust bin holds 2.4L of debris and is more than enough to get it through several cleaning sessions before needing to replace it.
Like the i7, uses cutting-edge floor-tracking sensors to produce maps. It can also allow you to navigate through neat rows. The i3+ EVO can only store one map, whereas the i7 can store multiple. The i7's map can be used to create virtual barriers and no-go zones, but not for the i3+ EVO.
Although the i3+ EVO is superior at picking up dirt and debris from surfaces than the other robovacs we reviewed but it's not the best when it comes to cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture, despite being remarkably quiet. It was a bit rough on furniture as it pushed chairs away. It also caused collisions with the sides of the test bed.
2. Black & Decker Q5 Pro
If you're looking to expand your robot vacuum collection or are just starting out with the Q5 Pro is a great option. This is the first robot we've seen that incorporates 3D mapping. That, combined with some other advancements, allows it to excel in our mopping and vacuuming tests. You can schedule cleanings and create no-go zones. You can also see the battery status. The app is easy to use, however it isn't compatible with Apple HomeKit. The feature is scheduled to be added in 2025. Apple updated its footnote on its website in early November to reflect the fact that this feature has been delayed until 2025. HomeKit isn't compatible with other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.
